Fall Front Porch

Oct 1, 2013

My front porch got a much needed refresher last week and I've been enjoying every minute of it. I thought I would be the only one to use it, but I've found my boys out here visiting with their friends in the afternoons. Oh, and Mario (my almost one year old puppy) LOVES it out here. It's so nice to have a spot the entire family can use.

I decided to work mostly with my existing décor and just add mums, but I couldn't resist a few owl candleholders I spotted at TJ Maxx. Despite using my spring planters and pillows, the mums and pumpkins still make it feel like fall. I'm loving the alternative use of color since it's still very warm and green here in the south.

I think this is the perfect place to sit and make my fall bucket list, which I know will include a hayride at a pumpkin patch and making smores in the backyard. What plans do you have this fall?

  1. It looks very inviting, Jennifer. I really love the rockers. I wish I had a proper front porch that I could sit on! There's something very homey about that. You've inspired me to to two things - go to TJ Maxx tomorrow and check out their fall decor; and make a fall bucket list!

  2. Your porch looks so pretty! You're inspiring me to get some mums and add color. I ripped my summer annuals out of my window boxes and it looks so bare on the porch now.

  3. Your porch is lovely! Fall colors just make you want to smile, in their hues of gold and orange and red. Strong, spirited colors. It's been a bit cool here in Oklahoma off and on. But no pretty leaves yet.

  4. Just beautiful Jennifer! I can't wait to start fall decorating, although it will probably be November before I start!

  5. Looks great! I love the new addition of the rockers. The things we could talk about in those!
