New Artwork for the Office

If you've been following my blog I'm sure you're thinking,"When is that chick going to finish her office?" My husband is wondering the same thing. To say I've been slowly decorating this office is an understatement.

I did finally finish the credenza wall. I saw this print on another blogger's post and fell in love with it. I knew it would be perfect for my office. The turquoise is just what this room needed for that extra punch. It didn't come in a standard size for framing. Of course not! I received a couple of quotes to have it custom framed. You could have knocked me over with a feather when they told me how much it would cost and how long it would take. It's not a Picasso, people! I was so frustrated that I just cut the print a half inch or so on each side to make it fit into a regular frame. I'm an instant gratification type of person (and maybe a little cheap) so this worked great for me. I considered painting the frame, but I'm going to leave it for now to see how the rest of the room turns out. I'm not completely sold on the accessories, but it works for now. Most of the accessories were moved from another room so it's okay if they don't stay.

I really wanted to finish the credenza wall as soon as possible because it's the first thing you see when you open the front door, which is why I don't have my printer or other office-y type things sitting out on it. Here's the view when you walk in the door.

Hopefully, it won't be too much longer until I show you the rest of the room!

  1. So far it looks beautiful… Can't wait to see the rest of the room! Also, are those floors tile or prefinished wood? They are gorgeous! I have to put down new floors in my house and weren't sure to do tile or wood flooring.
    Thanks, Sherry

  2. Thank you! It is wood tile floor. I have three boys and there's no way we could do a real wood floor downstairs. Here's a post about it with everything you'd ever want to know about wood tile.
