I know, I know. It's not even Halloween yet and I'm thinking about Christmas. Blasphemy! Don't get me wrong, I'm completely enjoying fall now that we finally had a cold front come through on Friday. I'm typing this in front of a nice fire right now and I've got a pumpkin pie candle burning. It doesn't get much better than that (except I swear this pumpkin pie scent is making me hungrier than usual). But, it's the perfect time to start dreaming of how I'm going to decorate my mantel for Christmas this year. I keep coming back to this picture.
It inspired me to add mercury glass candlesticks to my mantel this year. I picked these up at World Market last week and might be back for more soon.
I'll just pick up a little holiday decor here and there. Before you know it I'll be done. In the meantime, I promise I'm fully enjoying all the fall festivities. Here's a pic from the weekend at the Renassiance Festival that's going on right now.
Well, some of us are enjoying the fall festivities more than others. My poor 4 year old son was terrified by pumpkin man. Maybe we'll stick to the pumpkin patch from now on.
